If you are a registered adult climber at the centre you may bring up to 2 guests with you when you climb. You will be asked to sign in these guests and take responsibility for their safety and conduct in the centre at all times.
Guests who are competent climbers
If your guests are competent climbers we will ask them to complete a Guest Climber form. Our instructors will then check that they can belay/tie in and, if they wish to lead climb, that they are competent lead climbers. You can climb freely with your guests in the centre but remain responsible for them for the duration of their visit.
If your guests are new to climbing we will ask them to complete a Novice Climber form. You will be responsible for them during their visit and must provide the supervision and basic tuition they require to climb. You will be required to belay them at all times. Novice climbers should not attempt to belay unless they have been signed off by a Centre Instructor.
You may sign in climbers aged 5 upwards as your guests. You will need to complete a Parental Consent form to bring in young climbers. You are responsible for the young climbers at all times and must belay them during their visit. They should not belay other young climbers unless they have been signed off under our Purple or Green Card Scheme. If you are bringing children to climb we will only charge for the child’s climb as we understand that you will be managing their ropes and supervising them – therefore not climbing yourself. However, if you wish to use the auto belays during your visit we ask that you pay!
