Our four week Introduction to Climbing course is the ideal for course for anyone looking to take up climbing from scratch and progress their skills reasonably quickly. The course is aimed at beginners and aims to cover the fundamentals of climbing so that by completion you will be confident climbing in the centre and ready to tackle lots of routes of varying difficulty and style. The course covers a wide range of sills from belaying to top roping, movement and technique as well as advice on equipment use and application. You’ll learn about the different climbing areas in the centre and different styles of climbing from slab climbing, to arêtes, chimneys, climbs that are more technical or balance focused to those that test your endurance. With two hours of instruction per week you will have plenty of time to develop and practice your new skills over the course duration. Introduction to Climbing is suitable for anyone aged 18, run on a maximum 1:4 instructor to participant ratio and costs just £100 for four 2 week sessions.
